Mont Blanc Descent
Climbing Mont Blanc and looking down on all of the Alps and then descending more than 3000m down to the valley.....an experience of a lifetime!
The fact that descending the top of the Alps is possible on a board makes it the ultimate challenge for many snowboard enthusiasts. Although not technically difficult in climbers terms an ascent of Mont Blanc is not to be taken lightly because it requires a high level of physical fitness. Being an accomplished off-piste boarder, with splitboarding experience, to be capabel to deal with any kind of snow is a necessity on this trip of a lifetime.
The main difficulty on a Mont Blanc ascent lies in the effects of high altitude which will cripple your performance level, this is why this course has a 4 day preparation period. We will be exploring some of the fantastic touring in the Chamonix valley and to achieve the necessary acclimatisation. This 6 day period also gives us the necessary flexibility to adjust the program to use the best weather window to ensure maximum chance on a successful summit attempt.
